Endoenergy Systems Private Limited is an Indo-UK Collaboration based on fundamental R&D carried out by the founder Professor Virk in Europe for addressing the needs of the global ageing society. The core business is the design, development and commercialisation of wearable assistive exoskeletons that are able to support the daily living activities of elderly persons. We are seeking a range of experienced Mechanical Engineers with a strong passion for robotics who are highly motivated to learn new skills for developing the needed advanced exoskeleton systems. The relevance of the mechanical engineering experience to robotics, automotive, industrial automation, smart appliances needs to be demonstrated in the applications submitted. Some Freshers will also be recruited.
Successful applicants will become part of the Company’s Indian Engineering Team working closely with the other engineers located in India, UK and other countries in the long term. International standards and processes will be followed for all activities. The Indian team may be expected to align working hours with other collaborating partners’ office hours at certain times for maximising collaborations between the Indian-international teams via IT links. Some travel between the India-based and other country-based engineers may be expected and hence applicants should be willing to travel for carrying out dedicated activities.
Bachelors/Masters qualification in appropriate disciplines together with relevant industrial experience will be expected for the Engineer-Mechanical roles. The roles will also require wider knowledge and experience of engineering, design and technical management in robotics or areas close to robotics such as automotive, industrial automation, smart appliances, etc.
Role responsibilities for Mechanical Engineers
The following are expected roles:
- Perform detailed analysis of the technical requirements to realise bespoke mechanical designs
- Carry out detailed mechanism designs to meet product requirements
- Perform R&D to realise appropriate performances of resulting engineered solutions
- Carry out tasks for product development and product improvement bearing in mind cost reduction requirements
- Work independently or as part of a team on assigned tasks
- Support and collaborate with team members in India, UK and other countries on technical developments as per workplan and produce documents, presentations, project plans, etc. as required
- Write clear and comprehensive technical documentation
- Manage time and work closely with colleagues and partners.
Person specifications for Mechanical Engineers
- Bachelors/ Masters in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
- Relevant industrial experience in robotics or related sectors
- Good overall knowledge about mechanical engineering covering statics and dynamics, thermodynamics, vibration analysis, material science, mechanism design, design for manufacturing and assembly, etc.
- Strong analytical problem-solving skills and able to apply advanced mathematical concepts to real problems
- Deep knowledge in 3D CAD design using software such as SolidWorks, Catia, etc.
- Deep knowledge in design for manufacturing and assembly (DFMA)
- Good knowledge in rapid prototyping (e.g. FDM, SLA, SLS, etc.)
- Sound knowledge of materials properties and material usage
- Ability to work independently or as part of the mechanical team in modular ways
- Able to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Knowledge of electronic integration into mechanical designs
- Ability to write clear and comprehensive technical documentation.
- Ability to manage time and work closely
- Awareness of cutting-edge technology and know how to use them in different applications
- Strong communicator in English (spoken and written to International Standards).
Salary is based on relevant experience demonstrated:
- Salary INR 25k-60k / month (from Freshers to 6+ years relevant experience)
- Interns Rs 10k/month
